Description

The purpose of the regulation is to establish the parameters and maximum permissible limits for the discharge of wastewater into receiving bodies of the Lake Atitlan basin either directly or indirectly, in order to rescue, protect and prevent contamination of the water system, regulation applies to any individual or legal person and public institution that generates or manages special wastewater, ordinary or mixture of both, within the Lake Atitlan basin, The application of these regulations is the responsibility of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.
