National Policy for Decent Employment 2017 – 2032 GUATEMALA

The National Commission for Decent Employment was consolidated with the objective of promoting decent and dignified employment in the country, and is aimed at reducing the employment deficit, informality, increasing productivity and competitiveness; promoting economic development, in general, contributing to overcoming poverty and raising levels of social inclusion; with a holistic vision and effective social participation. To this end, it determines a series of priority actions, including: The National Plan for the Generation of Decent Employment, Skills Training, the National Scholarship and Incentive Program, the Social Inclusion Program and the certification of labor skills. National program of support for MSMEs, a rural development plan for an agricultural revolution, among others.
