Irrigation Promotion Policy 2013-2023-GUATEMALA

The Irrigation Promotion Policy is a sectoral document, national in scope and relating to the period 2013-2023, whose general objective is to contribute to the economic revitalization of the agriculture of small and medium-sized producers and to food and nutritional security, through access to irrigation. The policy aims to benefit agricultural producers who are in situations of sub-subsistence and subsistence, as well as surpluses. It is also aimed at benefiting all users of water for irrigation, including large-scale business irrigators, by improving the sustainability and governance of water management for agricultural purposes.
