Description
The Federal Government, through the Ministries of Environment and Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa), the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil (CNA), the World Bank and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) announced at COP27 the Vertentes Project, whose objectives are to combat desertification, promote the sustainable management of soy and meat livestock chains, recover degraded areas, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect biodiversity.
