Guatemala: General Law on Fisheries and Aquaculture (Decree No. 80-2002 and its Regulations (Governmental Agreement 223-2005)

The purpose of this law is to regulate fisheries and aquaculture, to regulate fishing and aquaculture activities in order to harmonize them with advances in science, adjusting them with appropriate methods and procedures for the rational use and exploitation of hydrobiological resources in waters of public domain.
