Description
This Plan implements, at the national level, the strategic lines and specific objectives defined in the National Food and Nutritional Security Policy. The Strategic Plan addresses the problem of food and nutritional security and poverty from a comprehensive multisectoral approach. The following eight strategic axes are contemplated: 1) food availability; 2) physical and economic access to food; 3) promotion of adequate consumption; 4) improvement of health conditions for the biological utilization of food; 5) prevention, care and food and nutritional attention to affected or at risk groups; 6) food and nutritional response to the population affected by emergency situations; 7) surveillance, early warning, monitoring and evaluation; 8) institutional strengthening for food and nutritional security.
