Decree 1174 of 2022 – Zero Import Tariff on Wheat and Suspension of the Andean Price Band System

Decree 1174 of 2022 temporarily established a zero percent tariff on imports of specified wheat tariff lines and suspended the application of the Andean Price Band System for certain wheat imports. The measure sought to facilitate wheat supply to Colombia’s milling industry and help reduce upward price pressures on wheat-derived products amid international market volatility and insufficient domestic wheat production. The measures were in force for two years, from July 11, 2022 to July 11, 2024.
