Rural Youth Program – Strategy for the Development of Rural Youth Entrepreneurship

The Rural Youth Program is a strategy of Ecuador's Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock aimed at promoting agricultural entrepreneurship among rural youth, particularly people aged 18 to 29. The strategy seeks to strengthen generational renewal and encourage young people to remain in or return to rural areas through entrepreneurship schools providing technical and business training, adoption of new technologies, business planning, marketing tools and the development of value-added products. The program also promotes technology-based agricultural ventures and alternative high-value crops.
