Partial Scope Renegotiation Agreement No. 29 between the Republic of Ecuador and the United Mexican States

Partial Scope Renegotiation Agreement No. 29 between Ecuador and Mexico establishes a bilateral preferential trade regime within the ALADI framework. Its purpose is to incorporate into the integration scheme established by the 1980 Treaty of Montevideo the tariff and commercial preferences resulting from the renegotiation, review and updating of concessions previously granted by both countries. The Agreement provides for percentage reductions from tariffs applicable to third countries, elimination of certain non-tariff restrictions, rules of origin, safeguard clauses, differential treatment and mechanisms for administering and reviewing trade concessions.
