Partial Scope Economic Complementation Agreement No. 46 between the Republic of Cuba and the Republic of Ecuador

Partial Scope Economic Complementation Agreement No. 46 between Cuba and Ecuador establishes a bilateral preferential trade framework aimed at facilitating, expanding, diversifying and promoting trade between the two countries. The Agreement grants tariff preferences to negotiated products, provides for the elimination of certain non-tariff restrictions, establishes rules of origin, safeguard mechanisms, disciplines on unfair trade practices, technical standards and phytosanitary and zoosanitary measures, as well as mechanisms for commercial cooperation, administration of the Agreement and dispute settlement. Its additional protocols have deepened tariff preferences, incorporated new products and updated rules of origin, customs procedures and trade facilitation disciplines.
