The purpose of Guatemala's rural agenda is to strengthen the sustainable development of the populations living in rural territories and place it on the government's strategic agenda, based on the human development approach to create a suitable environment for citizens. This is to be achieved by optimizing human capacities through the operationalization of the National Policy for Integral Rural Development. However, to achieve the above, it is based on four axes; Food and Nutritional Security, Productive Economic Development, Social Development, Infrastructure and Connectivity.
