COMEX Resolution No. 009-2022 – List of Tariff Subheadings Subject to Prior Import Controls and Import Prohibitions

COMEX Resolution No. 009-2022 establishes and codifies Ecuador's list of tariff subheadings subject to prior import controls, the list of prohibited imports, and tariff subheadings requiring prior control documents for imports under tariff quotas arising from trade agreements. The regulation identifies the competent authorities and applicable control documents, including permits, authorizations, registrations, licenses, and sanitary, phytosanitary, zoosanitary, environmental and technical requirements. It also promotes the simplification and digitalization of procedures through Ecuador's Single Window for Foreign Trade.
