Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the EFTA States and the Republic of Ecuador

The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the EFTA States and the Republic of Ecuador establishes a comprehensive framework to liberalize and strengthen trade and investment between Ecuador and Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. The Agreement covers trade in goods and services, tariff liberalization, rules of origin, customs procedures and trade facilitation, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, technical barriers to trade, trade remedies, investment and establishment, intellectual property, government procurement, competition, trade and sustainable development, cooperation and dispute settlement. It was signed on 25 June 2018 and entered into force for all Parties on 1 November 2020.
