The Agreement of Economic Complementation between the founding countries of MERCOSUR and the member countries of the Andean Community was concluded in pursuit of the common objectives of Latin American integration. The Agreement is based on the Treaty of Montevideo and Resolution 2 of the Council of Ministers of LAFTA.
