It is presented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food covering the period 2013-2023, is focused on the theme of the Zero Hunger Pact to reduce malnutrition and poverty in Guatemala. The policy seeks to develop strategies for irrigation and improve food production. The strategies include promoting the environmental sustainability of irrigation, water use governance, and the competitiveness of small and medium farmers.
