Declaration of Emergency in the Agrarian and Irrigation Sector (Supreme Decree Nº 003-2022-MIDAGRI)

The agricultural and irrigation sector is declared in emergency at the national level for a period of one hundred and twenty calendar days (120), due to the effects generated by COVID-19, the increase in the prices of agricultural inputs at the international level and aggravated by the international conflicts that negatively impact Peruvian agriculture, the national economy and food security. After the expiration of the term, with the Supreme Decree No. 012-2022-MIDAGRI, the government decided on 07/17/22 to extend for 167 calendar days the state of emergency in the agricultural and irrigation sector.
