Mexico's Fertilizer Program for fiscal year 2023 had an allocated budget of 16,684.1 million Mexican pesos, according to the 2023 Federal Expenditure Budget and the program rules published in the Official Gazette of the Federation. The program aimed to contribute to the production of priority crops through the direct, timely and free delivery of fertilizers to small-scale agricultural producers, with emphasis on basic grains and strategic crops. The intervention sought to strengthen productive capacity, support the availability of agricultural inputs and expand the territorial coverage of the program during fiscal year 2023.
