CONPES 3983 – Space Development Policy: Enabling Conditions to Boost National Competitiveness

CONPES Document 3983 adopts Colombia's Space Development Policy for 2020–2021, aimed at creating enabling conditions and strengthening the institutional environment so that space technologies and activities contribute to the productivity, diversification and sophistication of the national productive structure. The policy includes the characterization of the space market and national scientific and technological capabilities; the promotion of education, research, innovation and entrepreneurship; capacity building and technology transfer; increased demand for satellite goods and services; optimization of public procurement; strengthening of the Colombian Space Commission; international cooperation; and adjustment of the regulatory framework for space and satellite activities.
