General Law of Water Resources (Decree No. 253)

The purpose of this public order law is to regulate the comprehensive management of water, its sustainability, guarantee the human right to water, water security for a better quality of life for all the country's inhabitants; and promote human, social and economic development through the sustainable use of water resources.
