Argentina: Biofuels Regulatory Framework - Law 27640 / Bioethanol Blending Mandate

Description

Its purpose is to cover all biofuel production, storage, commercialization and blending activities in the country and their corresponding regulations. This Law also establishes that the liquid fuel classified as naphtha - according to the fuel quality regulations in force or the one that may replace it in the future - marketed within the national territory must contain a mandatory percentage of bioethanol of twelve percent (12%), by volume, measured over the total amount of the final product.
