Andean Community: Andean Digital Agenda and Roadmap

Regional digital-transformation strategy of the Andean Community, presented and endorsed by the telecommunications, information and communication technologies, digital government and digital-transformation authorities of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru on 28 April 2022. The Agenda guides subregional cooperation to improve connectivity, reduce the digital divide, strengthen digital capabilities and promote innovation through five pillars: digital government and transformation; infrastructure and connectivity; digital talent; digital economy; and new technologies for sustainable development. Its roadmap includes actions on interoperability and digitalization of public services, connectivity in rural and isolated areas, digital-skills development, digital transformation of firms and MSMEs, data markets and governance, and the adoption of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, blockchain and data science. The Agenda serves as a regional strategic framework for coordinating joint actions and initiatives among the Andean Community member countries.
