Food and nutritional security policy for Central America and the Dominican Republic 2012 - 2032.

Description

The policy presents a framework for coordination and dialogue with various sectors and actors to move towards strengthening food security and nutrition for the Central American region and the Dominican Republic through actions to develop a plan of action, with the objective that the countries obtain adequate and timely access to food to develop a healthy life. Among the actors involved are the CIS, CAC, COMISCA, international organizations, civil society, universities and the private sector. It seeks to manage in areas of food utilization, consumption, access and availability in order to combat poverty, malnutrition and unemployment, also impacting environmentally to generate global welfare.
