IDB Strategy with Uruguay 2021-2025

The objective of the Country Strategy 2021–2025 will be to support the Uruguayan government's plan to achieve inclusive and sustainable growth, with an emphasis on the generation of quality jobs. To this end, it is proposed to work in three strategic areas: (i) management of public resources; (ii) sustainable productive development; and (iii) equity and social inclusion. It is important to address these challenges by incorporating a gender perspective and social and environmental inclusion, and considering the use of digital technologies to overcome them. The latter is especially essential in a country like Uruguay, which stands out in the region in the use of ICT.
