IDB Strategy for Uruguay 2010-2015

Strategic document that sought to articulate the IDB Groups work with Uruguay during the 2010-2015 period. In response to the development challenges identified, the following actions were identified: (i) expansion and improvement of transportation infrastructure; energy supply; (ii) increase in sanitation coverage and proper disposal of solid waste; (iii) investment in science and technology; (iv) reduction of poverty and indigence, particularly among children and youth; (v) reduction of the dropout rate in secondary education and adaptation of job training programs; (vi) deepening the countrys international insertion; and (vii) strengthening the efficiency of the public sector.
