National Policy on Adaptation to Climate Change 2018 - 2030

Decree No. 41091-MINAE: The policy seeks to articulate Costa Rica's efforts to adapt to climate change through effective and informed citizen participation. It focuses on moving towards a resilient development model for Costa Rican society that avoids human losses and moderates material damages generated by the adverse effects of climate change, contributes to the quality of life of the most vulnerable populations, and takes advantage of opportunities to innovate and transform the productive sectors and ensure the continuity of public services.
