The Strategy addresses the legal and institutional framework for climate change in Panama and addresses adaptation and mitigation, establishing proposed actions at the national level. In addition, it establishes climate goals for 2030 and a transparency framework for 2030-2050. This includes adaptation measures such as the implementation of financial and insurance mechanisms for climate risk, the establishment of early warning systems for climate contingencies, and the expansion of the meteorological monitoring network. In addition, sectoral policies are promoted under a climate-smart approach.
