The National Environmental Policy promotes the care of nature and ecosystems, as well as their goods and services, promoting actions to address climate change, reduce deforestation and pollution, and strengthen governance and education in order to improve the country's environmental performance. It is considered that the main problem to be solved is the reduction of the goods and services provided by ecosystems that affect development and environmental sustainability, and it is expected that by 2030 it will allow the country to reduce the fragility index of ecosystems and maintain the adequate state of biological diversity.
