Forest Law-Costa Rica

Establishes as an essential and priority function of the State, ensuring the conservation, protection and administration of natural forests and the production, use, industrialization and promotion of the country's forest resources destined for that purpose, in accordance with the principle of appropriate and sustainable use of renewable natural resources. In addition, it will ensure the generation of employment and the increase in the standard of living of the rural population, through their effective incorporation into forestry activities.
