Peru: Creation of the National Organic Production Seal – Supreme Decree No. 008-2022-MIDAGRI

Supreme Decree creating Peru's National Organic Production Seal and approving its design and characteristics within the framework of the Organic Production Certification and Oversight Regulation. The seal is an official identifier used on the labels of certified organic products to facilitate their identification, oversight, traceability and promotion in domestic and international markets. It applies to products certified by authorized certification bodies and includes differentiated characteristics for products certified through the Participatory Guarantee System. The measure seeks to strengthen confidence in organic products, facilitate their differentiation in the marketplace and contribute to improving the commercial competitiveness of Peruvian organic producers.
