Social Climate Fund

The Council of Europe agreed to create a Social Climate Fund to support vulnerable households, micro-enterprises and transport users to support the emissions trading system for the construction and road transport sectors. Each Member State will submit a social climate plan to the Commission, which would include a set of measures and investments to address the impact of carbon pricing on vulnerable citizens.
