Nicaragua reduces tariffs to reduce the cost of food prices/n

Description

The Government of Nicaragua approved a ministerial agreement to reduce tariffs on several foods affected by imported raw materials, through the extension of a safeguard issued by the head of the Ministry of Development, Industry and Commerce (Mific). The Minister of Commerce stated that the tariff safeguard was extended to protect wheat flour, crude oil, refined soybean oil and African palm oil, which do not pay import tariffs.
