The country presents a roadmap based on the National Policy and Strategies for Food Sovereignty, Food Security and Nutrition in Haiti (PSNSSANH) that aims to achieve sustainable, inclusive and resilient food systems and address the three types of problems associated with food systems: nutritional, socioeconomic and environmental. They present as objectives of the food system to eradicate hunger, prevent malnutrition and ensure food security of the population; contribute to rural development in a way that contributes to socioeconomic development; and ensure environmental sustainability and reduce the vulnerability of the population to natural disasters. To this end, four thematic axes (political, operational, institutional and cross-cutting) will be built to implement priority sectoral actions: promote investment in family agricultural production and trade, support investment in social protection and nutrition programs, increase import tariffs on agricultural products and develop a response to various emergencies.
