National Roadmap for the Transformation of Bolivia’s Food Systems towards 2030

Strategic roadmap of the Plurinational State of Bolivia developed in the context of the 2021 United Nations Food Systems Summit, establishing national directions for transforming the country’s food systems towards 2030. The framework prioritizes strengthening the Traditional Agriculture-Based Food Production System (SPAAT), based on family, community, peasant and Indigenous agriculture, while promoting the transition of the agro-industrial food system towards more sustainable and resilient models in harmony with Mother Earth. Its lines of action include diversification of production and diets, conservation of agrobiodiversity and natural resources, strengthening of traditional knowledge and practices, development of markets for traditional products, generation of information and indicators, and mobilization of financing and technical assistance.
