The Government of Ecuador will subsidise 50% of the cost of urea.

Description

The total subsidy will be USD 27 million, which will cover 50% of the commercial cost of a 50-kilogram bag of urea, which on average exceeds USD 54. This is part of the compensation and incentive measures provided by the President of the Republic, Guillermo Lasso. Ecuadorian farmers will be able to take advantage of this benefit as of July 1. More than 100 thousand small and medium farmers will benefit, which must be registered in the systems of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG).
