Indian government increases fertiliser subsidy in the midst of increasing prices.

Description

The government doubled the fertiliser subsidy to Rs 2.15 billion from the budgeted level for the FY23 (i.e. an additional outlay of Rs 1.10 billion over the budgeted amount), due to a sharp increase in world prices of urea, DAP and MoP in the last year.
