Government approves Temporary Modification of the Import Tariff from 40% to 0% for Industrial Use Corn (Decree No. 08-22)/n

The measure seeks to strengthen domestic agribusiness, since the corn produced in the country is for human consumption and the imported corn is used to process animal feed. This tariff reduction from 40% to 0% for corn for industrial use will be in effect until the end of the year.
