Law 1876 of 2017: Creation of the National System of Agricultural Innovation

Law 1876 of 2017, of December 29, 2017, creates the National Agricultural Innovation System (SNIA). The objective of the law is to change the technical assistance model to accompany the producer from planting to selling their crops. The law establishes new functions, powers and coordination mechanisms of the SNIA coordination entities and bodies. It also creates the public agricultural extension service and standards for its provision.
