Argentina suspends registration of soybean oil and meal exports

Description

The Argentine government has suspended registration for new exports of soybean oil and meal, according to a statement from the Undersecretariat of Agricultural Markets. The move by Argentina, the world's leading exporter of soybean oil and meal, comes amid a sharp rise in international prices due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The suspension is effective from Sunday until further notice, the statement said.
