International Financial Institutions Action Plan to Address Food Insecurity

The plan is developed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the African Development Bank (AfDB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group. Its short-term goals are to provide aid to vulnerable populations, and the long-term goals are to increase food production, fertilizers, and promote open trade. The document was prepared by the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the International Fund for Agricultural Development and four regional development banks.
