Description
The Mexican government, through SADER (Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development) and Pemex (Mexican petroleum), presented the fertilizer strategy for the national countryside which, by 2022, will be extended to five more entities, bringing the total to nine, with the direct delivery of 352,000 tonnes of 100% national fertilizer. This strategy included a coverage of 1,200,000 hectares, with the direct and free delivery of around 352,000 tonnes of fertilizers (urea and DAP) of national production and the attention of more than 700,000 small-scale farmers. As of September 2022, 87% progress has been recorded, with 606,077 farmers out of the 700,000 considered, and the delivery of 236,845 tonnes of urea and DAP, which represents 67% of the fulfillment of the target set at 352,000 tonnes.
