EU: Food Security Crisis Preparedness and Response Contingencia_Mecanismo Plan (EFSCM)

Fecha de inicio: 12/11/2021
Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

The European Food Security Crisis preparedness and response Mechanism (EFSCM) brings together European and national administrations and private actors along the supply chain, which will carry out a mapping of the risks and vulnerabilities of the EU food supply chain, followed by appropriate recommendations and mitigation measures. The Covid-19 crisis has demonstrated the resilience of the agricultural, fisheries, aquaculture and food sectors, preventing the health crisis from also leading to a food security crisis. The plan takes a collaborative approach between all public and private parties that are part of the food supply chain. The private sector includes farmers, fishers, aquaculture producers, food processors, traders and retailers, as well as shippers and the logistics sector.
