Food production systems are particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change. The challenges imposed by climate change make it essential to focus efforts on adaptation, in order to guarantee the resilience of the system and maintain the production necessary for food security. Agricultural production must move towards sustainable systems that promote a balance between carbon emission and its capture and that consider the positive externalities resulting from ecosystem services, for which systems are required that quantify them and promote their capitalization. New technologies contribute to the harmonization of agricultural production with the health of the environment and ecosystems, an essential aspect for their resilience.
