Description
The National System of Multiannual Programming and Investment Management, created by Legislative Decree No. 1252 and in force since February 24, 2017, constitutes an administrative system of the State that aims to optimize the use of public resources allocated to investment. Its central objective is to ensure an efficient provision of infrastructure and services that contribute to the sustainable development of the country.
Through this system, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) seeks to position itself as a strategic ally of the ministries, regional governments and local governments, supporting them in the economic and social transformation of their territories. This is achieved through the identification, prioritization and execution of strategic portfolios of high-impact public investment projects, promoting more agile and simplified processes, for the benefit of improving the quality of life of the population, under principles of equity and inclusion.
