Fecha de inicio: 01/01/1989
Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

The Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer of the Vienna Convention has been ratified by all 33 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. Since its entry into force in 1989 and in response to technological advances, the Protocol has been amended six times and amended four times. Both the Convention and the Protocol (including four amendments) are universally shared. It aims to apply limits on the production and consumption of the main chemicals that destroy the ozone layer that protects the Earth. The Protocol also contributes to global efforts against climate change, since most of the ozone-depleting substances removed in the Protocol are also potent greenhouse gases.
