Data or statistical facts on the situation and perspectives of agri-food systems and the impact of policies
Millions of hectares restored through the 20x20 Initiative show how mixed financing complements regional climate goals (CAF, 2025).
70% of the global solar and wind potential is concentrated in Latin America, despite attracting only a minimal fraction of investments (CAF, 2025).
LAC currently receives 3% of clean energy investments, well below its renewable potential (CAF, 2025).
92% increase in coffee yield per hectare among producers benefiting from the AGROIDEAS program (MIDAGRI, 2024).

The study assessed how precision technologies—such as sensors, GIS, and drones—relate to agricultural input management in the San Martín region of Peru. Based on surveys of 120 producers, it found that productivity and sustainability positively influence efficient input management, while costs, limited infrastructure, and resistance to change are the main barriers to their adoption
20.29 °C was the global average temperature recorded in 2024, with an anomaly of +1.18 °C (SENAMHI, 2024). This thermal increase is reflected in Peru through a higher frequency and intensity of droughts, floods, heat waves, cold spells, and landslides, affecting ecosystems, infrastructure, and productive sectors.
2.9% per year was the growth of agricultural output in LAC since 1961, driven by a 1.7% annual TFP (Total factor productivity) increase (IBD, 2025).
