The workshop brought together key national stakeholders to define the strategic pillars of Guyana's first National Drainage and Irrigation Strategy (NDIS) 2030. Participants identified strategic priorities for developing a sustainable, integrated and climate-resilient drainage and irrigation system, with discussions focusing on flood risk reduction, water resources management, nature-based solutions, institutional strengthening, gender equality and social inclusion (GESI), and climate adaptation. The workshop served as the foundation for drafting the National Drainage and Irrigation Strategy 2030
