Event detail:

This presentation is Module I of a training series on organic fertilizers, produced under the Papa y Maíz Project. It introduces the concept of effective microorganisms (EM), covering their origin, the composition of the microbial consortium (Lactobacillus, Saccharomyces, and Rhodopseudomonas), their agronomic benefits—soil fertility improvement, pathogen biocontrol, and plant growth stimulation—and their limitations. It also outlines the production and propagation process for the EM mother solution as a bioinput applicable to potato cultivation in the Peruvian highlands.
