The Regional Agreement on Access to Information, Public Participation and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters in Latin America and the Caribbean Adopted in Escazú, Costa Rica, on 4 March 2018 Adopted in Escazú. Aims to ensure the full and effective implementation in Latin America and the Caribbean of the rights of access to environmental information, public participation in environmental decision-making processes and access to justice in environmental matters, as well as the creation and strengthening of capacities and cooperation, contributing to the protection of the right of every person, of present and future generations, to live in a healthy environment and to sustainable development.

Voting platform of the Regional Public Mechanism of the Escazú Agreement

At the first meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Escazú Agreement, a new election process for representatives of the public was announced. These elections will take place on November 2 and 3, 2022. Voters will be able to vote through this platform in an informed manner and learn about all the candidacies.
