Within the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Conference of the Parties (COP 30) stands as the main global forum for dialogue and decision-making to advance the implementation of the Paris Agreement and set new goals for climate action. The event brings together government representatives, international organizations, the private sector, academia, and civil society to strengthen multilateral cooperation in response to the climate crisis. Its central themes include emission reduction, ecosystem-based adaptation, climate finance, just energy transition, and the protection of the Amazon as a core element of global climate action. COP 30 seeks to align international commitments with national public policies, fostering inclusive and territorially integrated environmental governance, in line with the hemispheric priorities of sustainability and resilience promoted by OPSAA.
