Event detail:

Latin America and the Caribbean continue to face persistent productivity challenges, largely linked to historical gaps in regulatory and institutional effectiveness. State capacity, regulatory complexity, and high levels of informality continue to stifle innovation and scalability, hindering competitiveness and sectoral growth. In this context, emerging data-driven and AI-powered approaches offer a powerful solution: by improving regulatory quality, reducing administrative burdens, and strengthening institutional efficiency, artificial intelligence can help governments design smarter, simpler, and more transparent regulatory systems. The conference will bring together public officials, regulators, academics, and international experts to explore how artificial intelligence can transform regulatory management in Latin America and the Caribbean.
